ITALGROUP S.r.l., based in Italy, specializes in the design and manufacture of radial piston hydraulic motors for demanding industrial and mobile applications. Its Stellar-type motor technology is designed to provide high starting torque, constant torque at low speed and high volumetric efficiency. The product range covers hydraulic motors from approximately 80 cc/rev to 13,000 cc/rev, with single, dual and heavy-duty configurations.
The ITALGROUP IAM Series is a fixed-displacement radial piston hydraulic motor using a 5-piston configuration in the H1–H6 sizes and a 7-piston configuration in the H7 size. The original IAM range covers displacements from 80 cc/rev to 4,616 cc/rev, with continuous pressure up to 250 bar, peak pressure up to 350 bar, and speeds reaching 950 rpm continuous / 1,050 rpm peak on selected models.
Important: ITALGROUP officially states that the IAM Series has been phased out since January 1, 2019, and replaced by the newer R8M Series. R8M maintains the same mounting dimensions and is fully interchangeable with IAM, making it an excellent solution for replacement and retrofit projects.

The Stellar radial-piston architecture provides high starting torque and smooth operation at low speed, making it particularly suitable where conventional hydraulic motors may struggle with starting loads. ITALGROUP motors can also be configured with mechanical brakes, planetary gearboxes, flow dividers, valves, speed sensors and anti-corrosion treatments, allowing customized solutions for specialized machinery.
Typical applications include winches, conveyors, marine and offshore equipment, injection molding machines, steel machinery, forklifts, agricultural and forestry equipment, airport machinery and continuous-duty material handling systems.

The R8M offers high volumetric efficiency and a speed range down to approximately 0.5 rpm, while R8D is designed for more demanding applications with higher mechanical efficiency, speed and power. R8D extends the range to 13,000 cc/rev and uses hydrostatic balancing and low-friction materials for long-duty applications.
