KOSO 501G Control Valve – Boiler Feedwater Control Valve ANSI 300

KOSO 501G – 5227SLADN is a cage-guided control valve configuration designed for industrial process control, including boiler feedwater systems where stable flow regulation, pressure control and continuous operation are required. The supplied configurations use ANSI Class 300, A216-WCB carbon-steel bodies, with nominal sizes from 50A to 125A.

The 501G series is designed with a pressure-balanced trim and is intended for high-Cv and dynamically stable operation in heavy-duty services. KOSO states that balancing the fluid pressure acting on the plug helps achieve stable control with lower operating force, making the series suitable for applications involving high pressure drops.

KOSO Technology – Stable Control for Heavy-Duty Service

The 501G Cage Guided Control Valve is manufactured with a pressure-balanced cage-guided construction. According to KOSO, the series covers body sizes from 1 to 18 inches, pressure ratings from ANSI Class 150 to 2500, and fluid temperatures from approximately -196°C to +538°C, depending on material and configuration. Rangeability is specified up to 50:1.

The design supports different flow characteristics and seat-leakage classes, while available actuator combinations include pneumatic diaphragm, pneumatic cylinder, electronic and microprocessor actuators.
