The TR42 from Orion Italia is a dedicated temperature relay/controller for three-phase dry or cast resin transformers (cast-resin / dry-type). The device allows monitoring the winding and core temperature of the transformer via 3 or 4 PT100 sensors, and can control the cooling fan, alarm or trip when the temperature exceeds the threshold. It is a professional solution for transformer temperature protection (ANSI 49 function) and is easily integrated into SCADA systems or monitoring systems via RS-485 Modbus.
